Brunei Malay
The Brunei Malays found along the west coast of Sabah as far as Papar and in Limbang in Sarawak and the 5th District area of Brunei. They originated from the Brunei Sultanate, and mostly stay at water villages of Patau-patau and Kampung Bebuloh.
The Kedayan is not coastal people and they tend to settle more inland in Labuan. They decorate house or village follow a cluster pattern, built quite closely together with gardens radiating outwards. They don't follow Islamic inheritance laws. They speak a Malayic language which is similar to Malay, but have their own culture.

Anjung Ketam at Tanjung Aru, Labuan
Tanjung Aru popular crab dishes. The crabs are straight from the sea to the kitchen and onto customer’s plates. There is famous in crab curry, crab in butter milk, black pepper and so on. There also has other seafood such as sotongs, prawns, and fish. The humble restaurant clings onto the edge on the Eastern shores of Labuan.
Manja Rasa
It is floating restaurant located near Labuan Sea Sport Complex. For lunch, there got buffet which is RM 9 per head, while the dinner have steamboat delicacies, RM20 to whatever you want to seafood eat. The ingredients as buffet are chicken wings, hotdogs, sotongs, vegetables, and others. There also got some cooked foods that can eat and no need cook before eat.
Mawilla Seafood Restaurant
It is the best restaurant in Labuan which has seafood delicacies like fresh fish, prawn and so on. The most popular dishes is butter milk prawn and nestum prawn.
Soto
Soto uses ground nut and rice water, which can mix with noodles. You can choose to put beef or chicken.
Ambuyat
Ambuyat made from sago and is eaten by dipping a serving in a hot and thick sauce called cacah .it can rolling the sago around two bamboo sticks then dipped into the thick sauce. It is origin from Brunei. You can get this traditional food at Sungai Labu village. It’s unique to Brunei as well as to Bruneians. It’s suitable as a snack, breakfast, tea-time or supper.
Lamban
Lamban is like little fingers of goodies. It made from the pulut rice, the tastes like the Malay’s ketupat or Chinese’s rice dumplings.
Punjung
Punjung is made from rice flour, they are little cone-sized desserts with green jelly which like the multilayer pudding– kow chang kou.
Kelupis
Kelupis id the traditional food where can find when got weeding.
Kuih penjaram
Pinjaram, penyaram or kuih UFO as some would call it, is a type of local cake that is popularized by the Bajau people. This Mexican hat-shaped cake has a nice, chewy texture with a tantalizing pandan aroma.
Kek batik biscuit merry
It is making by biscuit merry, butter and milo.
Kuih cincin
One of its ingredients is palm sugar, or what we call 'gula nipah' in Malay. 'Nipah' is a type of palm.
Kuih lidah
Aloe cake is made from wheat flour cakes tongue, milk powder, sugar, butter and cooking oil. It is origin from brunei. You can get in weeding dinner.
Amplang cracker
Amplang cracker is one of the most popular food especially in Tawau, where it is made from Spanish mackerel mixed with tapioca flour.
